Can you see the fairies around this apple tree?
“The Apple has one of the richest treasures of myth and lore amongst all of our trees and is featured in many European cultures as the Tree of Life. Its fruit was seen as a symbol of immortality.” www.the-tree.org.uk

I have always been fascinated by trees, their shapes, folklore, healing properties and mystical and mythological significance.
According to http://www.the-tree.org.uk the Alder is known as the ‘King of the fairies’ - a very apt inclusion in a magic garden!
More Alder connections from http://www.the-tree.org.uk below
‘It was said that fairies used the female Alder catkins to dye their clothes, which makes them invisible to human eyes.’
‘The bird associated with Alder is the Black Raven.’
‘The Spirit of Alder inspires us to close the gap between our good intentions and our deeds, so we can experience Fairy-magic!’
